The mountain Vesturhorn (454 m) is located in southeast Iceland near the town of Höfn. Some refer to it as Batman Mountain and you’ll see why. In the right conditions it can be an irresistibly menacing sight.
Vesturhorn is “a batholite made of gabbro, with high cliffs and steep screes.” (vide Iceland Road Atlas). The peak next to it is Brunnhorn (683 m).
