Around 10 miles in length and 440 metres high, Látrabjarg in Iceland is considered among the world’s greatest bird cliffs. We got there a little after 10 pm last night. It is a wondrous sight.

Látrabjarg was the scene of the dramatic rescue of the British trawler Dhoon in 1947. (Hint to the curious: use Google.)
